	May 2008
	Effective January 1, 2008 : Prairie Land Dance Club is a smoke-free building in compliance with Illinois law. All events at the club will be smoke free.
Monday	New Class Session Began April 14th. Registration 6:30pm; Beginners class 7-8pm; Open dancing 8-8:20; Intermediate class 8:20-9pm; 6-week session $30/singles, $50/couples which includes FREE Associate Membership at Prairie Land Dance Club. Classes continue each Monday in May until May 19th. Apr/May session Beginner class: Line and flow dances; Waltz basics and turns Intermediate class: B&C Cha Cha: This is a beautiful 80 count flow dance. We will be teaching this dance in 5 sections, one section per class. Each section is only 16 counts -- not too bad!! We will review previous sections each class, but it will be important for students to attend each week if at all possible so we can move on to the new 16 count section.
Wednesdays	Open Western Dancing 7-10pm every Wednesday! Free Lesson at 7:30! 7th - Flow dance with the Washbonds - "It's Love" 14th - Review Flow dance "It's Love" 21st - Line dance with John & Judy "My International Harvester" 28th - Review Line dance "My International Harvester"
Fridays	Open Western Dancing every Friday 7-11pm. May 16th - Potluck and Country Shirt Contest! Look through your closet and find your favorite country shirt. Wear it the night of the party. We will be looking for the best country shirts in 3 categories: 1. Funniest saying or picture 2. Oldest shirt 3. Most worn out shirt-looking for holes, wear & tear & stains! A prize will be awarded in each category. Members vote! Winner announced at 9:00 p.m. Shirt must be worn the night of party. Join the silliness. Dance the night away.
Saturday	17th - Ballroom Dance 7-8pm. Dance from 7-11pm ($7/pp) 31st - Teen Dance 7-10pm. Thanks to the Adermans and Huddlestons for helping with this dance!

June 6th	PARTY!!! WINTER TEXAN'S REUNION June 6, 2008 7:00 p.m. Come and help our Southern Prairieland Club reunite with Ohio friends for an evening of food, fun, friends and dance!
May 17th	Ballroom Dance 7-8pm w/lesson
July 18th	Party Night at P.L.D.C. - more info to come!
August 1st, 2nd	Decatur Celebration Demo, more info to come!
August 10th	Illinois State Fair Demo, 3 p.m. at the Ethnic Village Pavillion.
